The gift of pregnancy
Today I am all smiles and so grateful to God for the gift of pregnancy. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while without success but now I have just found out I am pregnant. I am so grateful to God and to St Josemaria for this miracle. I have
persistently sought his intercession and he has listened to my cries. I promised him I will publish this miracle so as to encourage other people not to give up on him. Thank you St Josemaria for watching over us and for praying for us.

St. Josemaria has taught me how to sanctify my study
I am a postgraduate student studying overseas. I used to be very concerned about my academic results. Getting good marks was my first priority when I was an undergraduate. However after I started my postgraduate study in Australia the change of environment, living style, education style and the standards required by the university made me nervous and I felt under more pressure.

For example in one semester I put a lot of effort into one subject but it turned out that the result was not satisfying. I was even depressed with the result and wondered if my effort was wasted. I prayed to St. Josemaria and he answered me. When I read The Way, St. Josemaria mentioned in the book that 'one hour of study is one hour of prayer'. Then I understood that once I offer my work and study to God all of the effort becomes my prayer to God. The most important part is the process rather than the result. Now every time I study and work I offer it to our Lord and I become more concentrated because I want to offer the best to our Lord. St. Josemaria has been a huge help in teaching me how to sanctify my study letting me to understand the true meaning of study and work.

The prayer-card has turned my life around
It was 16 years ago when I went on my knees praying to have changes in my life. Then one day I came across the prayer-card of St. Josemaria. I decided to give it a trial, but it has turned my life around completely. I did O levels and failed in my exams. I got a job but because I had no Form Four certificate, I was employed as auxiliary staff. I wanted to go for training but I could not join any of the colleges because I did not have anything to show that I did form four. My testimony is that when I got the prayer-card and said the prayer through the intercession of St. Josemaria, my prayer was answered and I got myself admitted in one of the government institutions, where I did Graphic Design and media studies and got myself a certificate. I thank God for that! And another prayer I did on behalf of my brother who was sentenced to death. He was freed last year 2010 in June, and it is all through the intercession of St. Josemaria. THANK YOU LORD FOR HEARING MY PRAYERS through St. Josemaria.

The job where I could help people most
I was head of department for a firm in Concepción, Chile. After two years there I asked for a transfer to Santiago City, for a similar position in the same firm. After the interview process everything seemed to be going ahead, so at that point I proposed one of the people working for me as my replacement in Concepción. To make sure everything turned out well I started the ‘Novena for Work’ to Saint Josemaria Escriva.
Then I heard the news that the post I had been accepted for had mysteriously been given to someone else. Given the circumstances my only option was to stay in my post in Concepción, but that would be unfair on my replacement, who had already made arrangements to step into the job. Which meant I was going to fall between two stools. I didn’t give up hope, but kept on praying the Novena for everything to turn out well for everyone concerned, and for me to get the job where I could help people the most.
Two days ago I got a call from work. They confirmed that I could move to Santiago and take up the post I’d applied for. I attribute this to Saint Josemaria. So I’m continuing the Novena till January 9, but in thanksgiving, and after that I’ll keep praying it to be able to do a good job.

St. Josemaria has been a huge help
I was in military training we were getting pushed hard treated or even abused by our instructors. We were often deprived of sleep and rest. I started making prayer cards to St.Josemaria and everytime I prayed to him my prayers would get answered. St.Josemaria interceded on my behalf several times to get us more sleep and rest. He also interceded for me with getting assigned to the base that was nearest to cities where the Work runs centers of formation. St. Josemaria has been so helpful that I have come to see that nothing gets done and nothing good ever happens unless I pray for it and St. Josemaria has been a huge help in getting so many good things done.
